Europro Language offers all students on the Short-term holiday courses and Summer residential course a comprehensive activity and social programme. Activities in each centre are organised by our course co-ordinators, and are arranged according to the age of the students, the length of stay, location and time of year. Some examples of the activities are listed below: Torbay, Northampton, and Edinburgh Holiday Courses: In the afternoons and evenings as well as on the weekends a number of different free activities and excursions are on the program. Depending on the course booked, excursions and activities include such things as trips to Exeter (Torbay courses), Plymouth (Torbay courses), Tintagel (Torbay courses, legendary birth place of King Arthur), to Dartmoor National Park (Torbay courses), to London (Northampton courses), Oxford (Northampton courses), Cambridge (Northampton courses), or the Scotish Highlands and Loch Ness (Edinburgh courses). Other activities and excursions include, for example, sports, tennis, swimming, bowling, a trip to Cockington (Torbay courses), a visit to Kents Caverns (Torbay courses) - all FREE! For secondary students, several Disco nights are also included in the price. Students also have the opportunity to take part on additional excursions and activities at all of our course centres. These include for example: cinema visits, theatre visits, country inn tours, visits to castles and stately homes and trips to theme parks. Full details of additional excursions and activities, together with the price list, can be found in the information pack provided at the start of the course. These options are only an alternative to our normal program; even if you do not book them, there is something on the program every day, and you will certainly not suffer from boredom if you do not book one or more of the options. This way we ensure that especially our younger students are kept busy. These optional activities and excursions are not expensive, you do not have to spend a fortune on them. Prices for the options start at GBP 3.00 (approx. € 5.00) for a boat trip across the bay (Torbay courses), and the most expensive optional excursion is a day long trip to Land's End (Torbay courses) and costs only GBP 15.00 to GBP 20.00 (depending on the season, approx. € 24.00). ![]() All activities and excursions are always supervised by our experienced group leaders; day long excursions are supervised by group leaders and English teachers. Apart from that, there is plenty to do in Torbay, including aerobics, fishing, badminton, basket ball, bowling, crazy golf, darts, football/soccer, go-kart, golf, horse riding, snooker/ pool billiard, sailing, canoeing, jet skiing, surfing, or going to the movies. Further attractions are the Torquay Museum (with an extensive Agatha Christie exhibition), the Bygones, the Paignton Zoo, and the Model Village. Famous crime story author Agatha Christie was born in Torquay. |
