Accommodation ... Host Family, B&B, Hotel --> good, carefully selected host families... Please note that accommodation at a host home is only offered in conjunction with "language holiday courses". Other course types may include B&B or hotel accommodation. All host homes are inespected several times a year by our trained staff. Host Homes We arrange accommodation in carefully selected private homes. Staying with a host provides students with the opportunity not only to experience home life in Britain, but also to practise their English in an informal relaxed environment, which is an excellent way of reinforcing and extending those skills learned during lessons. At our course centres in Northampton, Torquay and Edinburgh students are provided with breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal. Students are normally accommodated in twin rooms with two students in each host home. Students who are travelling with a friend or relative may request to stay together. When students travel alone we endeavour to find a room partner of the same sex and similar age, and whenever possible we try to accommodate students of different nationalities together. Students can, if they wish, book a single room. This type of booking guarantees not only a single room, but also that they will be the only student of that nationality staying in their host home. A single supplement is payable for this service. Host homes are located as near to the school as possible. Although some students walk to school, the majority of students take a local bus. Hotels For adult students and business executives who prefer to stay in a hotel we can offer accommodation in either tourist or business class hotels at all of our course centres. Hotels are normally booked on a bed and breakfast basis. The cost of hotel accommodation is considerably more than staying in a host home. Rates are quoted individually according to the category, location and requirements of the student. We are also able to arrange car hire or private transport from the hotel to the school.
