Torquay is a holiday resort situated in one of the most beautiful parts of south-west England. Together with the small town of Paignton and the fishing port of Brixham it forms an area known as Torbay. Torbay has a 35km coastline with sandy beaches, red and yellow sandstone cliffs, exotic plants, palm trees, beautiful gardens, harbours and marinas. Warmed by the Gulf Stream and naturally protected from the Atlantic, Torbay enjoys one of the mildest climates in England and is known as the 'English Riviera'. Our courses are based directly in Torquay and excursions are arranged to Dartmoor, Plymouth, Exeter and Brixham. The Mediterranean-type landscape, together with the availability of a variety of water sports, boat trips, nightlife and a truly international atmosphere, makes Torquay ideal for the student who wishes to combine a language course with a traditional holiday by the sea. ![]() UK map, Course Centres Torbay and Northampton view the image gallery information about other course centres return to the top of page
Only 60km from Oxford, the market town of Northampton is an excellent alternative location for language course students. The cost of living and studying in Northampton is less expensive than Oxford. The town portrays a typical image of English life and is not overfilled with tourists. It has many fine old buildings, traditional shops and modern shopping centres. There are two theatres, a multi-screen cinema and sports complexes offering plenty of opportunities for entertainment. One of the main advantages of Northampton is its central location. London, Oxford, Cambridge, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and many other places of interest are within easy reach. Althorp house, home of the Spencer family and final resting place of Princess Diana is only 12km from Northampton in the picturesque village of Great Brington. view the image gallery information about other course centres return to the top of page
Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, is a city rich in history and culture. The skyline is inspiring and its panoramic views are breathtaking. The castle is high on a dramatic rock, and the Old Town runs downhill towards the Palace of Holyroodhouse, official residence of the British Royal Family on their visits to Scotland. There are many places of interest to visit in Edinburgh including museums, galleries, the Royal Observatory, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Clan Tartan centre and the Whisky heritage centre. There are also many theatres, concert halls, wine bars and pubs with live music. A full day excursion to The Highlands and Loch Ness is included in the course fee. We cannot guarantee, however, that Nessie' the monster will make an appearance! Other excursions are arranged to Glasgow and St.Andrews. Edinburgh is an ideal location for students and offers an exciting contrast to our other course centres. view the image gallery information about other course centres return to the top of page Information will be available soon. view the image gallery information about other course centres return to the top of page Information will be available soon. |
