Eagle's past as being an AMC company and producing US-versions of several Renault models is no longer visible, since the last Renault-based car was discontinued last year. Now Eagle produces some Mitsubishi models as well as a version of Chrysler's LH-car, the Eagle Vision, which is sold in Europe as the Chrysler Vision.

With its modern cars Ford has become the most successful of the Big Three US auto makers, though still ranking behind GM. The company had an early hit in the beginning of the century with its Model T, which is one of the two most sold cars in the world, together with the VW Beetle. Beetle. Nowadays it produces the Escort, once again a top seller, and the highly successful Taurus. The pretty new Explorer is the best selling off-roader in the USA. The Explorer's 4-liter-V6 is produced by Ford Europe in Collogne. The new Contour is based on the European Ford Mondeo.

Fukang is a joint-venture of a Chinese company and Citroën. Production started in 1992, and the only model currently available is the DC7140, which is based on the Citroën ZX. There are also plans to build a special version of Citroën's top model, the XM.
