Jaguar, aquired by Ford back in 1989, has been very successful lately. Especially the new XK8 sells very well. All Jaguar cars now make use of the new V8 engine, the older R6 and V12 engines have been discontinued.

Mahindra still builds licenced versions of the Jeep CJ. Production started back in 1949. In 1992 Mahindra tried to get into the European market, but failed. Most enginges are old Peugeot 2.1-Litre-Diesels.

Owning well over 200 companies makes Mitsubishi the largest industrial corporation in the world. As for the car producing branch, Mitsubishi is third behind Toyota and Nissan in Japan, but in front of Honda. The name Mitsubishi means "Three Diamonds". The companies works closely together with Chrysler in the US and Hyundai in Korea.
