DVD Information: Selected DVD offers will be available shortly. In the mean time, please use our American NTSC/RC1 or our European PAL/RC2 databases to search for specific DVD titles you are interested in. Please note that standard American DVD players cannot play European DVDs and vice versa! If you wish to play a DVD from overseas, you need a code-free DVD player. Code-free players are specially modified DVD players that can play most (though not all) foreign DVDs. The reason for this are the so-called region codes that the movie industry requires the DVD player manufacturers to incorporate into their machines. North America has region code 1 (RC1), Europe has region code 2 (RC2), and there are four more region codes for other parts of the world. A very limited number of DVDs is code-free and can be played on all machines world-wide. If you're not sure if you can play a specific DVD, please contact our support team. |
