Freeservers offers a web page creation wizzard which allows you to create the HTML code for your page without any knowledge of HTML.
Such web page wizzards are rather limited, though; if you wish to have a more complex page you have three options:
- You can use an HTML creation tool such as
HotMetalPro, Netscape Composer, or Microsoft FrontPage. The later two are included with Netscape's Communicator and Microsoft's
Internet Explorer respectively. HotMetalPro is shareware and can be downloaded from any good shareware site such as Shareware.Com.
- Modern word processors (i.e. MS Word, WordPerfect) allow normal text pages to be saved as HTML. If you don't have such a word processor, please consider downloading
StarOffice 5.1 FREE of charge! Star Office is currently the only word processor that allows you even to create frame setting pages, and it is the only free word processor there is.
- You can use a simple text editor (even Windows' Notepad will do, I use EMACS) and write the HTML code yourself. This will give you total control of what your page will look like - but it also requires a certain degree of HTML knowledge.
