DIARY OF A GENIE: A History of Sidney Sheldon's I Dream of Jeannie from
1964 to Present.
More than seven years in the making, this 8.5"x11" book by R.D. Barnes
features 450 pages of original research on the show, written in the style
of Jeannie's personal diary and includes interviews with writers, actors,
technical wizards, real astronauts, and others who helped make the show
possible, technical articles like Bottle-mania, and how Jeannie's smoke
was made, complete screen credits for every episode, Jeannie's recollections
of each episode, a complete travel guide, 165 photographs (mostly B&W)
from the show, and 21 maps and illustrations. In all likelihood, this will
be the best book on this subject ever produced. The 1998 hard-cover
edition features crisp, upgraded, Docu-tech photos, new insights, and the
author's autograph. The now-historic 1995 soft-cover edition has most
